Geek Revolt

Reasons to Make the Switch to PC Gaming

1.The satisfaction of building your own PC.

Ever repaired an old car back to health again? Perhaps you were a Legos geek when you were younger? Well then let me make this clear to you. Building your own PC will make you proud and happy about your investment! Whether you have a 600-dollar budget or a 3,000-dollar budget, building your own PC is always more fulfilling than just buying a console.

The finished product.

2. Multiplayer is FREE!

Yeah, yeah, yeah… I know what you’re going to say. “But I only have to pay on my Xbox 360!” You may be right, you PS3 and Wii owners, but this next reason will help you come into the light.

Its free...its free.

3. Modification of video games.

Do you ever get bored of one of your favorite video games on the console? Tired of the same guns and the same old levels? Well, if you had a PC you’d be able to download new levels, new weapons, and new enemies for free! That’s right, all you console owners. Forget the console and the DLC. Buy a PC to start downloading free mods! Hell, PC gamers were the ones who gave the developers the DLC idea.

Drool with envy console boys!

Plus- you might learn a thing or two about computer programming!

4. The ability to upgrade your computer hardware.

That’s right! I said it! None of you console owners can argue with this. Hell, I bet some of you have watched, in envy, videos of your favorite game that has maxed out graphics on a PC. On a console, the developer may dumb down the graphics just so that console doesn’t fry when it’s put to the test.

Looks like you're SOL console fans!

The options to exchange your video card for a more advanced one is far surpassed options on any console. For more advancements, you have to wait for the next-gen console while the PC Gamer basks in his freedom of being able to upgrade now.

So please, drop the controller and grab a mouse. Nuff said.

  • I say why pick? Play em all! Mac, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, N64 etc. ha-ha…

Wont hurt to play them all!

But I was born and raised a PC gamer. Its just how I roll.

You know DeShaun that I’d love to play the consoles…but it would be for maybe one or two games for each, and that doesn’t sell it for me. PC all the way.
