Remember that game Dragon’s Crown that was announced at E3 last year described as a multiplayer action RPG with beautiful hand-drawn visuals from developer VanillaWare? Well it was supposed to be released this year on the PS3 and Playstation Vita and UTV ignition games( ignition entertainment) was going to be the publisher. That does not seem to be the case anymore.
Through an email from an Atlus Faithful newsletter, Dragon’s Crown is now in the hands of Atlus and will be slipping into next year. Playstation Blog has reported that key members of the Atlus internal development team will be involved with the project as producers, some of whom worked on games in the Persona series.
Those that were hoping that the $29.99 price of the game would still hold true are going to have their hopes taken away since Atlus sees this price as a logistical impossibility and would destroy any chance of profitability.
While im bummed about the price and the delay, Its nice to know the game is still coming and Atlus is taking control. I hope it turns out to be a great game just like Muramasa the Demon Blade.
