Please Be True: Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Canceled?

According to Kotaku’s anonymous sources Final Fantasy Versus XIII was canceled in “the last few weeks”. Obviously, Square Enix isn’t commenting on this because it’s “rumor and speculation”, but hopefully the rumors are true. It was announced six years ago, and we still know next to nothing about it — it’s vaporware, let it die. Yeah, that’s not politically correct, but it’s time to put our feet down.

To everyone looking forward to Final Fantasy Versus XIII: Forget about it, it’s like a potentially awesome girl/guy that just leads you on, refusing to acknowledge your feelings. Do you really want to go through life with a constant sense of longing?
