This new DmC trailer reintroduces Dante’s twin-brother Vergil. Wait, do you hear that sound? It’s the sound of a million Devil May Cry fanboys screaming foul once again. They’re yelling “What did they do to Vergil!” Sigh, let’s just give it a rest already — if this game flops Capcom will just act like it never existed and go back to the old formula. So calm down, I’m actually starting to like this new direction.

    The problem I think fans have with this reboot is the same one people have with nearly every reboot. The new direction isn’t “bad”, there’s just no real reason for it to be a Devil May Cry game. They could’ve easily just made this into an interesting new franchise by changing some names around.

    sigh the fans have serious issues, it’s a reboot for crying out loud. what they though they changed dante but they would keep vergil the same sigh. i have no problem with what they’re doing with this game i just hope at the end of the day it’s some good cause lets be honest DMC 4 wasn’t that great ijs and it wasnt a reboot

    I am looking forward to this. Yea, Dante has a new look, yea, Virgil virtually looks the same… but what has Devil May Cry ALWAYS been about? Gameplay. If this game can hold up the gameplay and give an interesting story, why not accept it? From what I have heard from E3 previews and whatnot, the gameplay is quite sound. This is gonna be a buy for me, and yes, I am a huge DMC fan.
