Hyouka Episode 18 Micro-Review

Minor Spoilers Ahead

I felt like Keima from The World God Only Knows while watching this episode. A few minutes in and I could already “see the ending”. So I’ll keep this micro-review short. This episode was a complete waste of time; at this point the series should be prepping an end game instead of wasting time on random, boring, and predictable stories. Oreki acting slightly out of character wasn’t enough.

Okay — I’ll explain myself a bit. As soon as I heard helicopter and excitement — I immediately knew he was hoping it was a rescue helicopter. That killed the episode, are the writers even trying? (Rating: 6/10)

    I dunno if I was as bored with it as you were, but seeing this right after the last arc did make it very dull in comparison. And yeah, Oreki’s character-change should not have gotten it’s own episode like this, so I see where you’re coming from.

      It bored me because I knew why he was excited to see the helicopter from the get go. It was too obvious :(
