Apple Announces the iPhone 5

I’ve never been this jaded, but with all the leaks Apple’s press events are nowhere near as exciting as they use to be. Today they announced the iPhone 5, it’s taller, thinner, and weights less than its predecessor. Plus it packs an A6 processor that makes the already beefy A5 cry (it’s supposed to be 2X faster).

In addition to the iPhone 5 Apple also updated their entire iPod line (including the headphones, they’re now known as EarPods). The iPad Mini wasn’t revealed, though. Rumor has it they’ll hold a separate event in October. Check out the above video while I go empty my meager savings (pre-orders open on the 14th and it goes on sale on the 21st). Sigh, the plight of an Apple Junkie.
