Sega Only ‘Advising’ For Bayonetta 2, Don’t Hold Your Breath PS3 and Xbox 360 Owners

The biggest surprise from today’s Nintendo Direct event wasn’t the Wii U’s price and release date. No, that honor goes to the announcement of Bayonetta 2’s Wii U exclusivity. Gamers who spotted a Sega logo in the teaser may have been given false hope of a delayed PS3 or Xbox 360 version. Well, I have some bad news courtesy of a tweet from Sega.

When was the last time Nintendo published a PS3 or Xbox 360 game? Now Platinum Games could make a third one and put it on next generation consoles (they still own the IP). So hope isn’t lost if you hate Nintendo products.

Although, if you ask me fans of the original should be praising Nintendo for putting their money behind the game. Microsoft or Sony didn’t step up to the plate and the original was on both of their consoles. Basically shut up, just be happy that we’re getting a sequel.

      Me too! This shows they’re willing to publish games for third parties. Hopefully they get some more third-party exclusives.

    so i checked online this morning and i saw that people tweeted outlandish things to the game developer about it being a console exclusive and i’m like wtf sega was going to let it die and nintendo brought it back from deaths door you should be thanking them not criticizing them

    Let’s just suppose that this new Bayonetta game is going to be a Wii U exclusive… just how ironic is that? To think that SEGA was Nintendo’s biggest rival back then…

    I liked Bayonetta and was hoping for a sequel but this is going to make me feel all weird now considering I don’t really plan on buying the Wii U…. at least not anytime soon when it comes out.

        Well, I guess the reason why I’m hesitant is the same reason for what happened to my Wii… it’s literally collecting dust as we speak. (Actually, let me rephrase that: It’s still inside its box and hasn’t been opened since we moved to the new house; the box is what’s collecting dust, hopefully not the console inside lol.) And the reason for this is that I couldn’t really bring myself to play many of the Wii games for one reason or another. In fact, I still have yet to play the Monster Hunter Tri and Harvest Moon games that I bought for it.

          Ouch, I know what you mean. It’s really not about price, some consoles just lack interesting games. I think the Wii’s problem was its lack of power. It was hard going from PS3 and Xbox 360 games to Wii ones. And the controls left something to be desired.

          But I don’t blame anyone for waiting, I’d do the same if I could.
