Wii U Coming November 18th For $299 – $349

It’s official ladies and gents. The Wii U will be out in North America on Sunday November 18th and cost you $299 or $349 depending on which model you decide to pick up.

The Basic model comes with 8GB of flash memory, a console, HDMI cable, power adapter, and a Wii U GamePad. The Premium model comes with all that, but it’s in black and the memory is bumped up to 32GB. Plus to sweeten the deal Nintendo is throwing in a copy of Nintendo Land and a membership to Nintendo Network. This will give you a discount on downloadable games.

If you ask me I say go for the premium model. You’re getting a lot of extras for $50 more.

$350, I knew it… I fucking knew it… Nintendo could not get away with another $250 price point… not to mention, even with the premium, you will still be spending in upwards of $400+ on launch day. Either way, I will wait, there is no way I am fronting for a console I won’t actively play on a daily basis.

sigh i know with that controller and a extra game or 2 you would be hard pressed not to chump out half a k for the system sigh………..

      • Oh yeah — you might as well not bother if you aren’t willing to drop $500. I’m not buying too many extras, though. They won’t be selling extra Wii U GamePads at launch. But they’ll have the Pro controller for $50 — I need one of those. I’l get that and like three games and try to get review copies of the rest lol 😀
